The 25-year-old replaced compatriot Emmanuel Dennis in the 75th minute, before picking up the injury towards the end of the game. The injury stopped the player from going for the African Cup of Nations which Nigeria was eliminated in the round of 16 by Tunisia.

The Hornets announced on the social media handle on Friday that the midfielder has returned to full training. The statement from the club reads: “Back with the squad 👊 🇳🇬 @etebo_karo,” the club tweeted. The player who is on loan from Championship side Stoke City this summer made six league appearances for the Hornets before sustaining the injury.
