Christian Erikson has rejected Manchester United’s bid as the player prefers to remain in London with Brentford the club which gave him the chance to revive his career. He has also said if he will leave the club he will like to remain in London and so he is not taking out the option of a return to Tottenham.

Christian Erikson Rejects Manchester United Bid

Manchester United are among a list of clubs to have shown interest in the Denmark playmaker following his remarkable and miraculous return to action with the Bees in January. After suffering a cardiac arrest at last summer’s European Championships, the playmaker has proved he can still operate to the best of his ability at the top level, as he carefully considers his next move.

The 30-year-old scored one and assisted four times in 11 outings for Thomas Frank’s side to help Brentford to a respectable 13th-place finish. But now he is weighing up whether to leave west London to pursue a new challenge ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

According to reports, Erikson has decided to turn down a move to United because he would prefer to keep his family in the capital. It is believed that the player will remain with Brentford and if he will leave he will move to Tottenham and not Manchester United. Brentford is not willing to let the player go as they are willing to make the player the highest-paid player in the club’s history even though he is yet to commit his future to the club.
