Enugu state government distributes noddles and paracetamol as palliatives. In this current coronavirus pandemic situation, state governments, organizations, and individuals have been up and about to ensure that no one dies of hunger.
Well, in the spirit of provision, the Enugu state government with Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi as the governor have decided to distribute two sachets of noodles and two cards of paracetamol to various households.
Well, as commendable as it is that the state shows concern for its citizens, it is also condemable that politics and corruption has taken over proper reasoning on the part of our leaders. How can a family be expected to feed on two sachets of instant noodles? The addition of the paracetamol though, thoughtful sends a slight message of mockery to the less privileged.
The onus lies on our government officials to do better.
