In Enugu State, Five underaged boys have been rescued from carrying-out heavy slave labour.

The children (names withheld) were given tasks beyond their capacities and were reportedly fed with light meals without proper compensation for the work put in daily.

Saving the kids from their constant horrors and oppressors is the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP in Enugu.

A post under the Twitter trend – Enugu, revealed that NAPTIP rescued five under-aged labourers and sealed a building under construction in the area.

The boys in the picture above could be seen digging what looks like a foundation for the newly developed project.

None of them seems to have exceeded 10 years and looked like they were struggling to get the work done.

According to Nneka Ajie, South-East Zonal Commander of the agency, they raided the construction site during the morning inspections and found that child labour was ongoing at the location.
