English Football League Games can be Concluded in less than 2 Months
The English Football League season can start and be concluded in the space of 56 days but this only be when the league finally resumes. For now it is still very obvious that the league cant resume because of continues rise in the case of coronavirus in the Europa.
Amid the coronavirus pandemic which has paused all social activities across the world football fans especially in the United Kingdon cant to see the end of the virus so all social activities can go back to normal. It is assumed that the English Football League will not take complete two months to be completed, it will take a take a total of 56 days to be completed.
A letter was sent to all the 71 English Football League clubs by the chairman Rick Parry saying training is likely to resume on the 16th of May which is just like a month away. The English Football League said it was hopeful the league could finish in the summer, but there is still no indication of when it might begin again.
The 24 English Championship side still have about nine matches to play to need the league, the league was suspended since on the 13th of March. Also some clubs in League One and League Two have 10 games left to play before the league finally ends. The English Football League estimates that they will finish all their matches within two months, including the play-offs.
A letter sent to the management says that: “How and when we return (including training) is clearly subject to change and any decisions will be taken in conjunction with the government and relevant health authorities.” The letter further said “It is our working assumption at this stage that matches will be played behind closed doors when we eventually return and as part of our contingency planning we are absolutely mindful of the need to try and mitigate the cost of this to clubs as best we can.”
