Senior citizens demand reformation of Sars
Just moments after the Inspector General Of Police, Mohammed Adamu announced the disbandment of the F-SARS unit, some parents and senior citizens in a viral video have kicked against that decision. They were captured screaming and chanting the words we want SARS while holding up placards.
According to the ProSARS protesters, the disbandment of SARS will lead to an increase in the rate of crimes in the country. They advised that instead of the complete disbandment of the force, the unit should be reformed.
This goes completely against the fight that Nigerian youth have put up in the past week and for this, they dragged the ProSARS protestors saying that they are inconsiderate and are only pushing for the reform of the SARS unit because they have not been personally affected.
Recall that in the past week, youth from all geopolitical zones of the country have gone marching and protesting against police brutality in Nigeria. Public figures like Runtown, Falz, Sarz, and just recently Wizkid and Davido have joined in the protest. These protests are gaining major traction from International media and public figures as well. Foreign public figures like Trey songs, Cardi B, Marcus Rashford, Ozil etc have also joined in the fight for Nigerian lives.
