EndSARS: Police Arraigns 201 Suspected Looters In Abuja

Police Command in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT has arrested, paraded and arraigned 201 suspected looters who were accused of looting in the Nation’s capital.

According to the spokesperson of the FCT police command, ASP Yusuf Mariam, the suspects were all arraigned before six mobile courts on Wednesday 28th October 2020.

Mariam said efforts by the crime-fighting unit of the FCT police command led to the arrest of the suspected looters, who were involved in the wanton looting and vandalisation of warehouses within the FCT.

The PPRO added that the Command has arrested and arraigned a total of two hundred and one (201) suspected looters including women.

Also, the command has recovered some looted items, at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp-Kubwa, Kuje, Gwagwalada,Jabi and idu.

The police image maker stressed that the command will not relent until it has brought to book all criminal elements within the FCT.

Meanwhile, the FCT Commissioner of Police CP. Bala Ciroma has called on well-meaning residents of the FCT to desist from engaging in any action capable of causing the breakdown of law and order.

The police Boss also appealed to parents, guardians, community and religious leaders to prevail upon their wards to keep the peace in the FCT.
