EndSARS Panel Report has exposed the Nigerian Army and Police’s role, which eventually led to the deaths of some protesters on October 20, 2020, at the Lekki Toll Gate, Lagos State.
Yesterday, the Lagos State Judicial Panel on #EndSARS submitted its report to the Lagos State Government, stating, among other things, that both the military and police officers fired live bullets at peaceful protesters, killing and injuring several.
Despite video clips and overwhelming evidence speaking otherwise, there’s no arguing the point that the Nigerian government and military authorities initially and consistently denied that no one was killed in the incident.
The Lagos panel has, however, confirmed the killings. It also stated that the “deliberate absence of officers of the Nigerian Army who were present at the LekkiMassacre and who were summoned by the Panel was a calculated attempt to conceal material evidence from the Panel.”
The Panel also listed names of those killed and injured by security forces on the Lekki Tollgate shooting, October 20, 2020, while recommending that those involved be dismissed.
The Panel sat for over one year and took testimonies of petitioners, witnesses, experts and lawyers.
The report, which is now circulating on almost every media platform, highlights in detail the findings of the Lagos State Judicial Panel.
