Popular Nigerian music artiste, Folarin Falana aka Falz Thebahdguy has revealed that he’s not scared of loosing his life, amidst #ENDSARS crisis in the country.
The lawyer turned entertainer has been at the forefront in the fight against Police brutality and bad governance in the country. Falz, in a recent interview with CNN‘s Christiane Amanpour stated that he is not afraid to lose his life amidst the unrest in the country.
The rapper/actor in the interview highlighted the several problems Nigerians are facing which made them vulnerable to death.
In his words, “I am not afraid for my life because where we are right now, I feel like I can easily die by anything else anyway.
“We have a non-existent healthcare system for example. We have a seriously high level of poverty, there is unemployment. We are in a critical state because of the level of corruption and mismanagement of funds that we continue to see on a daily basis“
“We keep on saying that every single Nigerian is one sickness away from passing away. So what kind of life am I living any way? Why wouldn’t I be afraid of dying? I am going to die anyway, so what is the point? he added.
Falz and Runtown led the #ENDSARS protest in the streets of Lagos after controversial music artiste, Naira Marley had backed down. The lawyer’s son has since stood his ground in the fight against Police brutality, extrajudicial killings, as well as calling for a better Nigeria via his platform.
