#EndSARS: HURIWA Slams Lai Mohammed, Suggests Detention

HURIWA, a group popularly known as Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, verbally demanded the immediate detention of Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, for disregarding the Lagos State #EndSARS Judicial Panel Report.

The National Coordinator of HURIWA, Emmanuel Onwubiko, expressed irritation to the Minister’s comments regarding the killing at the Lekki Toll Gate that claimed several lives in the name of seeking justice and overhauling of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.

He pointed out that Mohammed publicly referred to a painstakingly report as “recycled fake news,” which serves as enough reason for him to be locked up.

HURIWA Laments over Anarchy in Buhari’s Govt

According to the National Coordinator, Nigeria is in a mess, stating that the nation has no Federal Government while lamenting the “anarchy” in the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

“So if he now has enough courage to speak on the report that has not even been published. Some of their members leaked the report that every Nigerian is seeing now. However, there is no official disclosure of what the Lagos state panel recommended.” He said.
