Fears for the safety of Eromosele as his lawyer warns that nothing must happen to him

Eromosele Adene, one of the youths most prominent for his role in the #EndSARS protests and his subsequent arrest, has had his case with the Nigerian government adjourned.

His case was adjourned till February 15, 2021. The court adjourned the case on the grounds that it is only right to leave cases that are unimportant for later, in compliance with COVID-19 safety regulations.

However, counsel to the defendant, Adesina Ogunlana, has expressed his displeasure at the decision of the court to adjourn and according to him, “Nothing must happen to my client.”

This seeming call for protection is based on suspicions from some quarters that there are plans to abduct Eromosele and further twist the case that is already before the court against him.

Recall that Eromosele was arrested on Sunday, 15th November 2020, appeared before a Lagos State Magistrate Court on 17th November and was granted bail to the tune of 1 million naira.

His family has been thoroughly affected by the issue and his sister had aerlier shared how she was baited into leading the police to her brother for his arrest.
