Emeka Ike, a Nollywood Actor/Producer, has demanded that the Federal Government of Nigeria order the immediate release of Veteran Actor Chiwetalu Agu from detention.
Recall that the Nigerian Army detained the actor for reportedly putting on a cloth to identify with the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, while calling for support for the group.
As contained on his Instagram page, the Nollywood Director/Entrepreneur, Ike, called for the freedom of activists he referred to as ‘Victims of Conscience’.
He also cried out for IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu’s release and Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Igboho, respectively.
He wrote, “Release all victims of conscience immediately. Your belief is you. Your ideology is you. Tyranny never pays. Dialogue is golden. Release Sunday Igboho, release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Immediately. The world is watching & history never forgets (sic).”
Agu’s arrest caused public outcry after a video of him being taken away by men of the Nigerian Army went viral on social media. The actor is still in their custody within the period of packaging this report.
