On winning elections, there are barely any contradictions on why Muslim Politicians or those from core-Northern parts of Nigeria get the highest political offices.
The answer to this assertion is not farfetched, owing to the reality that people from that region partake in electoral activities more often than those from the South, East and West.
To worsen the whole situation, the aforementioned parts where an election is talked about more online than in actual-physical participation when voting time commences would always rant over the Muslim-Muslim tickets for the Presidential Election but most talking don’t have Permanent Voters Card, PVC.
The inspiration from this written piece is a video that started trending on all social media platforms about a concerned Nigerian that went to one of the registration centres at Gwarimpa to collect his PVC and found out that there were hundreds and thousands of names yet to claim their cards.
The place was empty. He urged registrants to come over and pick up their cards before rush-hour time, or when the election is almost at hand.
As mentioned earlier, the Northern Politicians sometimes win electoral offices because in their region, not just the old come out to vote but youths and in some cases, underage electorates.
In order to stop the complaint mentality whenever the East, West or South fails to grasp power at the helm of affairs, people from their region should go out en masse and cast votes for a change just as advised by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC Nigeria.
