Ahead of the Presidential Election Tribunal which sits at the Court of Appeal on Wednesday 22nd May 2019, the Nigerian police inform the public that there will be a diversion of traffic at Goodluck Ebere way and Shehu Shagari Way.
The command states that’s the gesture is part of proactive measures to beef up security at the venue. It, however, apologized to commuters who ply the road for any inconveniences this might cause.
The Police says the decision is in line with plans to forestall any act that could disrupt the Tribunal sitting and result in the breakdown of law and order.
A statement by DSP Anjuguri Manzah, PPRO FCT Command said, “In view of this development, members of the public are advised to use alternative routes to their destinations on Wednesday.
“The Command reiterates its commitment to the protection of lives and property in the Federal Capital Territory.”
