The elder brother to the ex-governor of Adamawa State, Alhaji Dahiru Nyako has been released from captivity after being kidnapped at about 2 am on Thursday morning by unknown gunmen.
The elder brother of ex-governor Murtala Nyako aged 90 years old was kidnapped in his residence in his hometown at Mayo-Belwa Local Government Area.
He has however now been released at about 11 am on Thursday morning. It is yet to be known if there was any form of ransom paid by the family before the release of Alhaji Dahiru Nyako.
DSP Suleiman Nguroje who is with the state police command said they had received briefing on the development of the kidnapping of the elder brother, however assured the public that they will continue in their pursuit of the kidnappers and apprehend them in order for justice to be served.
