Eight individuals have been arrested between Abuja and Kaduna over suspected train ticket racketeering.
The individuals were nabbed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Clement Zakka, Udim Samson, Adams Danladi, Otitomoni And Hassan Dausa were taken at Kubwa train terminal on Saturday while three others, including a Nigerian Railway Corporation worker, were apprehended at the Rigasa station, Kaduna on Sunday.
The suspects wer said to have sold the tickets between N2,500 and N15,000. Acting spokesman for the EFCC, Tony Orilade, said in a statement on Monday, The suspects sold the N1,300 economy ticket for N2,00 and N5,000 while the first class tickets were sold for N7,000 and N15,000; instead of the normal N2,500.
The suspects were arrested during a sting operation at the stations. They will soon be charged to court.
