In commemoration of this year’s Eid-el-malud, President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday urged Muslim faithful to rededicate themselves to showing love and understanding to one another.

Moreover, Buhari advised the Muslim faithful to exhibit patience, honesty, sincerity, kindness and generosity in all their undertakings.

Also, in a tweet, a former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar said the celebration at such a time in Nigeria offers an opportunity to reflect on all the happenings around the country and be reminded of why their faith in God should be absolute.

He further urged Muslims to remember Nigeria in their prayers for the well-being of the country in line with Prophet Muhammad’s demands that they must love their fatherland.

Atiku prayed that the Eid-el-malud celebration shall herald a new era of peace and prosperity for the country at large.
