The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has countered a claim by former Big Brother Naija housemate Dorathy Bachor that operatives of the anti-graft agency broke into her home on Monday.
The EFCC said operatives of the Lagos Command of the Commission invaded Dorathy’s apartment based on verified intelligence. The anti-graft agency said its detectives executed a Search Warrant at a block of flats located in the Lekki area and arrested nine suspected internet fraudsters.
According to the EFCC, operatives of the Commission force their way in after they were denied access for several minutes after knocking on the entrance of Dorathy’s apartment to prevent the suspects from either escaping or destroying vital evidence.
The Commission added that law-abiding citizens have no reason to refuse the execution of a validly obtained Search Warrant. The EFCC further explained that the BBNaija star was not present during the operation.
Meanwhile, contrary to the claim that she came out half-naked, the EFCC alleged that the former BBNaija housemate invented the claim to paint the Commission black.
