EFCC Asked Court To Deny Social media influencer, Adeherself Bail.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has asked the Ikeja Special Offences Court not to grant bail to social media influencer, Adedamola Adewale aka ‘Adeherself’.

Adeherself was arrested last month in the company of some internet fraudsters in the lekki axis of Lagos after the police got intelligence report on their activities.

The lead prosecutor for the anti-graft agency , Samuel Daji pleaded with the court to deny the suspect bail at her bail hearing on the charge of possessing fraudulent documents.

Prior to the hearing, Adeherself’s lawyer, Mr Tunde Salami had applied for the court to grant his client bail on liberal terms since she had been in EFCC custody since July 7.

Mr Daji pleaded,

‘“I urge the court to refuse the bail of the defendant and order accelerated hearing”

After putting both requests of both the prosecuting council and the defence, Justice Sherifat adjourned the bail hearing .
