The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested seven suspected internet fraudsters in Benin, Edo State for alleged internet fraud.
According to the EFCC, the suspects were arrested based on actionable intelligence by the Commission.
The suspect are Agbi Favour, Aigbata Wilson, Chukwudi John, Momodu Abdulmalik, William David, Acien Simeon and Otasowie Osariemen.
Everyevery.ng gathered that the suspects have made useful statements and will be charged to court after completing investigations.
In the same vein, the anti-graft agency has arraigned a Kwara State University student, Atoyebi Ayodeji on one count charge.
Ayodeji was arraigned before Justice Mahmood Abdulgafar of the Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin.
Atoyebi, currently studying Agricultural and Biological Engineering at the University while masquerading as a white female, allegedly opened a Gmail account he used in defrauding unsuspecting victims.
Meanwhile, Justice Abdulgafar in a bench ruling granted bail to the defendant in the sum of N1million with two sureties.
