Former Chelsea star player Eden Hazard has sustained an injury, according to reports the player will miss Real Madrid’s Champions League game with Italian side Atalanta. Eden Hazard has been ruled out with a thigh injury which makes it the ninth injury he has since joining the Spanish side.
Real Madrid confirmed that Eden Hazard’s injury in their recent statement on their website. Hazard only just returned to play in December, and he is now set to undergo another injury blow. The injury is said to last for at least four to six weeks.
Hazard is most likely to miss the first leg of Madrid’s Champions League last-16 clash with Atalanta which comes up towards the end of this month.
The 30-year-old has only made 35 appearances for Real Madrid since joining them. He has been suffering from one injury to the other.
Hazard joined Madrid in the summer of 2019 for £106m but has failed to prove his worth in the team. He has played just 35 times for the club and scored four goals with seven assists so far.
