Durella
Nigerian recording artist, performer, songwriter, and businessman, Oluwadamilare Okulaja popularly known as Durella is back in the music industry after a long time out with ‘Shalaye’ song featuring Ice Prince Zamani.
Durella was one of the hottest musicians in Nigeria some years ago. He had hit songs such as ‘Enu Ose’, ‘Gaga’, ‘Shayo’, ‘Wizkolo Wiska’ and so many club bangers.
He also had songs with top music artists like Femi Kuti, Dbanj, Wizkid, Terry G, Olamide, Wyclef Jean, Terry G and so on. In 2008, he was awarded ‘MTV Base Advance Artist’ of the year.
He has since fizzled out of the entertainment scene only to be back with a new trending song.
Durella has teamed up with rapper, Ice Prince Zamani to release a new song titled ‘Shalaye’.
The word ‘Shalaye‘ is a Yoruba word for ‘Explain’ and it is a word for this time where some Nigerian government officials are battling cases of fraud.
Nigerians have urged the acting MD of the NDDC to come back and ‘Shalaye‘ after acting out during his probe at the National Assembly.
Just as Durella coined the word ‘2gbaski’ many years ago, the entertainer is back with another word for the Nigerian public via his sounds.
