DSS Breaks Silence Over Mbaka’s Disappearance

The Department of State Security, DSS has cleared the air over the alleged sudden disappearance of an Enugu based cleric, Father Ejike Mbaka, whose whereabouts has generated lots of controversies and resulted in protests.

His supporters who staged a protest on Wednesday said he suddenly disappeared two days ago after visiting Bishop Callistus Onaga, and they want the Catholic Bishop to reveal his whereabouts.

EveryEvery.ng had reported that the Ohanaeze Youth council had raised an alarm that the Reverend Father was missing and gave the federal government 48 hours Ultimatum to produce him.

Reacting to the reports making the round on the sudden disappearance of Mbaka, the agency said the cleric is not in their custody.

DSS Breaks Silence Over Mbaka’s Whereabouts

Speaking on behalf of the agency, the spokesman of the DSS, Peter Afunaya, said Mbaka is not with the DSS, adding that the security outfit did not pick him up.

Meanwhile, the Presidency had earlier raised an alarm that some political and religious leaders were planning to overthrow the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.
