MTV Shuga actress Dorcas Shola-Fapson has opened up on her family and how she grew up hating her mum.
The actress in a recent podcast revealed that her father misled her to hate her mum.
According to her father, the 31-year-old actress said that her mum left her with her dad while she was very young.
Meanwhile, the dad failed to tell her that the mum was deported while the dad escaped immigration.
Dorcas Shola-Fapson said: “My mum and dad went to the UK after they got married because my mum’s family sent them there, and when I turned two, my mum got deported because obviously, they didn’t have their papers.
“My dad managed to get away somehow, and he kept hustling. Looking back now, I can understand as an adult, but then my dad kept us away from my mum; we didn’t have any contact with her.
“He told me that she left us. He’s not going to tell us that she was deported because we were too young to understand.
“He basically told us she didn’t love us or cared about us that she left us. I grew up hating my mum, and I believe he did it because he was hurt. So I understand now as an adult.”
Dorcas Shola-Fapson is currently an On-Air Personality and has become popular in the acting world after appearing in MTV’s Shuga Naija.
