Trump, who lost his re-election bid in the November 2020 poll, described his controversial first tenure as the greatest first term in presidential history.
He, however, noted that there will be an orderly transition.
According to the White House spokesman, Trump said there will be an orderly transition on January 20 even though he totally disagrees with the outcome of the election.
Meanwhile, members of both chambers of the US Congress have confirmed Joe Biden’s victory as the next president of the United States.
It was gathered that Biden surpassed the crucial 270 marks in the Electoral College votes on Thursday morning, hence, affirming him as the 46th President of the United States.
Before the confirmation, congressional members were chased out of the Capitol building in Washington, D.C., by rioters suspected to be loyalists of Trump.
The certification by the US Congress finalizes the 2020 US electoral process and ensures that Biden and Kamala Harris will be inaugurated on January 20.
