Nigerian music producer Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly called Don Jazzy has warned fans against supporting his brand.
The Mavin Record boss has shown his displeasure at the trend of fan bases bringing other artists down to defend their own.
In a tweet made on Wednesday, Don Jazzy noted that fans do not have to disrespect other artists to support theirs.
He tweeted, “If ur only way to support Mavin is by hating on or downplaying a colleague’s hustle & success, then pls keep ur support to yourself. I know some of u derive pleasure from that shit, but that’s not the Mavin way. We go manage our little fan base that’s genuinely happy for others.”
In a follow-up tweet, a fan said, “So we should watch them spit thrash on our rema without showing them who’s boss.”
A dissatisfied Don Jazzy replied, “Who made you boss? To what end? Your banter is not good for anybody. We make music for y’all to listen to and enjoy. That’s only what makes us happy. Nothing else. Thanks”
Toxicity has become the order of the day between fan bases as they derive pleasure in throwing curse words and spreading false news to bring down the supposed rival.
