Disney announces the new star wars and avatar releases

Disney has announced a new slate of film releases. Among them: A new Star Wars trilogy in 2022 and the first Avatar sequel moved from next December to December 2021.

In 2020, Disney will still be in theaters in December thanks to 101 Dalmatians reboot, Cruella and Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story remake. They also announced new and adjusted release dates for various Marvel films, live action reboots and other productions. Among the changes to the lineup, the planned Gambit movie is finally dead while New Mutants is delayed until March 2020.

The newly announced slate of releases encompasses films from Walt Disney Pictures, Disney Animation, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Fox, Fox Searchlight and Blue Sky Studios.

  • Ad Astra: Sep. 20, 2019
  • The Woman in the Window: Oct. 4, 2019
  • Maleficent: Mistress of Evil: Oct. 18, 2019
  • Ford V. Ferrari: Nov. 15, 2019
  • Frozen 2: Nov. 22, 2019
  • Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: Dec. 20, 2019
  • Spies in Disguise: Christmas 2019
  • Underwater: Jan. 10, 2020
  • Untitled Kingsman movie: Feb. 14, 2020
