IGP Issues Directive On Requirements for Constable Applicants

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has ordered police Boss in charge of police commands across the federation to suspend the entry requirements for applicants seeking to be recruited as constables.

In the directive, the IGP, who urged police commands to ensure that the entire recruitment process is transparent said no candidate should be disqualified irrespective of their physical appearance, age, and qualification.

Adamu stated that all candidates who successfully submitted their online applications to police recruitment portal should be attended to irrespective of their physical appearance, age, and qualification.

You will recall that the Nigeria Police Force had earlier announced some requirements for applicants seeking recruitment into the force as constables.

The Force’s spokesman, Frank Mba said the screening exercise will take place between August 24 and September 6.

As part of the requirement for the recruitment exercise, applicants are to appear at the various screening venues in their white T-shirts and shorts.

They are also expected to bring their National Identity Number, Original and duplicate copies of their O’ Level Result(s), Certificate of Origin, Birth Certificate including Declaration of Age with recent passport photographs attached.

Others are a printout of application submission confirmation page and duly completed Guarantor’s form.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Police Force has announced the comprehensive nationwide schedule and venue for the Police recruitment physical and credential screening exercise commencing in the 36 States and Abuja.
