Liverpool injury list keeps increasing even as some of the injured players’ returns, new signing Diogo Jota have been ruled out for at least six weeks because of a knee injury.
The 24-year-old Portuguese international was injured in their last Champions League against Midtjylland last week Wednesday. The injuries in their camp is clearly showing. They drew 1-1 to struggling Fulham missing a chance to go back to the top of the table after Tottenham drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace.
Speaking about Diego Jota and the injury in Liverpool camp, the club’s manager said: “It’s worse than we first thought, but better than we then thought.” “There was the potential for surgery, but there’s no surgery needed. He will be out for a while. We don’t know exactly.”
So far Diego Jota has scored nine goals since joining the Reds from Wolves in September. His absence has been greatly felt and his injury is a big blow to the team.
Players in Liverpool’s injury list are Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Konstantinos Tsimikas, and midfielders James Milner, Thiago Alcantara and Xherdan Shaqiri, and now Diego Jota.
