Delta State Civil Service: Ignore Advert, We are not Recruiting

The Delta State Government has distanced itself from an online recruitment process into the state civil service.

The statement by the Director of Information, Mrs Theresa Oliko, on Thursday, said the advert was fraudulent, and the state has nothing to do with it.

This statement is coming after a recruitment application form on the Delta State Civil Service Commission surfaced on their website on Wednesday asking applicants to obtain entry forms from the Department of Recruitment and Promotion of the state civil service for a non-refundable fee of N8500.

The payment was to be made into a Unity Bank civil service commission bank draft with account number 0010840393.

Delta State Civil Service is not Recruiting

Mrs Oliko said the State Governor had not approved any Delta State Civil Service Commission recruitment process. “We did not place any such advert, nor was anyone authorized to do so.”

She further stated that the commission does not advertise recruitment or any of its activities online, and “No one should make payment whatsoever into the bank account mentioned in the said fake online advert.”

She said the advert was the handiwork of hackers and should be ignored.
