Dele Alli in Trouble Again

England and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has been given a one-match suspension and also fined £50,000 by the Football Association in relation to a social media post. 24-year-old Dele Alli was charged back in February over a joke made on social media regarding the coronavirus pandemic. The England and Tottenham Hotspur player joked about the outbreak and appeared to mock an Asian man.

the Football Association has now fined Dele Alli with £50,000 and also he will miss Tottenham Hotspur first Premier League game which is against Manchester United when the league resumes next week. The English player was charged back in February over a joke made on social media regarding the coronavirus pandemic and appeared to mock an Asian man.

He, however, came to delete the post and released a video to apologize and said: “I let myself down and the club.” The Football Association has given its judgement on the matter. They sent a statement which reads: “The Tottenham Hotspur FC player denied that a social media post breached FA Rule E3(1), as it was insulting and/or improper and/or brought the game into disrepute, and constituted an “Aggravated Breach”, which is defined in FA Rule E3(2), as it included a reference, whether express or implied, to race and/or colour and/or ethnic origin and/or nationality.

Dele Alli will now have to pay the fine even as investigations on the robbery that happened in his house is still ongoing, about a month ago his house was broke into and valuable items taken from him.
