Famous Nigerian singer, Oladapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as Dbanj has addressed the rape allegations levelled against him.
In a post on his Instagram handle, the singer described the allegations as lies from the pit of hell
Dbanj said he decided to react to the allegations because it was a slap on his marriage, wife and his entire family.
“Today is exactly 1 week after my birthday and this will be the only time I will address the recent false allegations and lies from the pit of hell.
I have chosen to do so because the incident is a slap to my marriage and my beautiful wife, my entire family and those who believe in me.”
He also posted a copy of the letter written by his legal team in response to the accusations leveled against him.
Dbanj further stated that he choose not to react to the allegations at first so as not to dignify the accuser adding that the matter has been handed over to his legal team for the appropriate actions while the Nigerian Police Force also investigate the matter.
He noted that it was unfortunate that the accusations came barely two weeks before the second anniversary of his late son, Daniel.
“Unfortunately, this is coming a few weeks before the second anniversary of my late son Daniel And this well-timed falsehood has reopened the painful scars of my deep loss.”
The singer, who recently celebrated his 40th birthday, however, thanked his fans and loved ones for their support, prayers and words of encouragement.
