Davido's Lawyer Reveals Real Owner of 'Jowo'
Following the controversies surrounding a hit song Jowo, Davido’s Lawyer has revealed the real owner of Jowo.
In November 2020, popular artiste, David Adeleke who is popularly known as Davido, released a hit single, Jowo, which garnered millions of streams and even more after the visuals featuring Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD) and BBNaija star, Nengi was released.
To some fans, that song was one of the best hits off the artiste’s, ‘A Better Time’ album. However, just hours ago, a Twitter user with the handle Thuglife alleged that Davido stole the hit track from his colleague, Victor AD.
Although AD has debunked the claims and ridden it off as a fake story, Davido’s lawyer, Prince Bobo Ajudua made a tweet exonerate his client from the accusations. He wrote,
‘As far as I know, Jowo was performed by Davido, written by David Adeleke & Oladeinde Okubajo aka @Davido and @deindeofficial and prod by Jerry Jethro & Peter A. Kehinde Emmanuel aka Napji & Majicboi. That’s as far as I know. Don’t shoot me I’m just the guy that did the paperwork :)’
When fans asked the team to make a scapegoat of the false accuser, Bobo responded by saying if they dealt with every wrong accusation they got daily, there would be no time to do the actual work that has brought Davido this far.
