Burnaboy, Davido & Wizkid
This might be a terrible season for those supporting BurnaBoy and Davido. Their fanbases have not had reasons to rejoice like the Wizkid FC. Davido has taken a respite from social media and music because of the tragic event that maimed the happiness of his home.
Burnaboy despite being part of the grammy’s nomination, failed to win the grammy. This must have been a big blow to his ego as the award would have strengthened his claim as the giant of Africa. It was a big disappointment both to him and those who held him in huge regard.
This uneventful period for both artists has heightened the feeling of this win that was given to Wizkid. The internet banter by the fans of these artists always hinges on whatever awards or career achievements they have.
At the 2023 iHeart music award, Wizkid takes home the award for Afrobeat artist of the year. He was up against the likes of Burna boy, Ckay and Fireboy. His fans are going nuts over this win. This has allowed them to fight the other fanbase and insult other artists.
According to some tweets, this is the wrong period to support Burnaboy and even Davido that seemed to have ghosted his fans because of personal issues.
