Former Manchester City and Villareal playmaker David Silva was inspirational and creative in their last La Liga game as he created two goals to inspired his side Real Sociedad rolled over Huesca and take them to the top of La Liga table. The 34-year-old joined the Spanish side Real Sociedad on a free transfer after leaving Manchester City.
David Silva set up second-half goals for Cristian Portu and Alexander Isak as his team beat Huesca 4-1. Mikel Oyarzabal scored twice for the hosts, including a penalty, either side of Rafa Mir’s effort for Huesca. Silva set up Portugués Manzanera in the 68th minute of the game, and Isak in the 75th minute of the game.Real Sociedad is a point clear of defending champions Real Madrid although Zinedine Zidane’s side has a game in hand.
Sociedad has won La Liga twice in their history, the most recent triumph coming in the 1981-82 campaign. Could this be the start of another trophy chase for the La Liga side Real Sociedad.
