Daddy Freeze Lambasts Oyedepo Over Tweet On Tithing
Controversial On-Air Personality, Ifedayo Olarinde, also known as Daddy Freeze has lambasted Nigerian Cleric, David Oyedepo over his recent tweet about the relationship between Tithing and prosperity.
In a tweet on his timeline, the Cleric noted that Tithing is an inescapable covenant Obligation adding that Prosperity is not possible without tithing.
He further stated that failure to pay tithe bring about a financial curse.
The tweet reads “Tithing is an inescapable covenant obligation. Prosperity not just wealth is impossible without tithing because when you’re not paying your tithe, you’re under a financial curse. #Tithe #Breakinglimits.
Reacting to the tweet, Daddy Freeze in a post on his Instagram page described Oyedepo’s stand on tithing as untrue.
He asked if the Cleric is one per cent as prosperous or as wealthy as Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet who don’t pay tithe.
The OAP described Oyedepo’s tweet as unscriptural, manipulative and cruel adding that neither Jesus Christ nor the disciples collected tithe.
According to Daddy Freeze, tithing is the old law, obeying the old law partially, without obeying all the 613 laws of Moses is what carries a curse.
He backed his claims with some portion of the Bible like Hebrews 7:5, Galatians 3:10, Romans 4:15 and Romans 8:2.
In the meantime, Reno Omokri in a post on his Instagram page opined that the Bible permits Christians to use their tithes to buy alcohol.
