Cristiano Ronaldo was in action for The Old Lady side Juventus as they welcome Cagliari to the Allianz Stadium. Juventus are placed second in the league table behind Inter Milan although they are all in having the same points. Both teams have 45 points but goal difference separate them, while Inter Milan has 24 goals Juve have 18 goals.
Both Inter Milan and Juventus have played 18 matches each and Antonio Conte’s troops are ready to take the trophy off Juventus. But The Old Lady boys are not giving up just yet. They welcomed Cagliari to their Allianz Arena last night. The game in a stalemate in the first 45 minute of the game, both teams were leveled in the first half.
Cristiano Ronaldo was the first to break find the back of the net, he broke the deadlock in the 49th minute of the game. He took advantage of a Ragnar Klavan mistake four minutes in the second half of the game to give the champions the lead. The second goal came in the 67th minute of the game through a penalty after Marko Rog fouled Paulo Dybala.
The 34 year-old Portuguese legend set up Argentine Gonzalo Higuain to put Juventus three goals ahead. Just a minute later he was able to complete his hat-trick. The hat-trick marks his 56th career hat-trick. He slipped the ball under goalkeeper Robin Olsen and placed it beyond his reach.

The five times Ballon dOr winner is in his best scoring run since his £99.2m move from Real Madrid in 2018. He has scored in each of his past five Serie A games. Juventus temporarily went top of the league but Inter Milan’s 3-1 win at Napoli later that same day brought them down. The Inter game showed how desperate the La Beneamata (The Cherished One) are to reclaim the league title from Juventus.
Cristiano Ronaldo is currently the third-highest goal scorer in the league after Romelu Lukaku and Ciro Immobile. Immobile is the highest with 19 goals while Lukaku is second with 14 goals before Ronaldo who has scored 13 goals.
The Hat-trick is his second hat-trick for Juventus. Having scored three against Atletico Madrid in last season’s Champions League last-16 tie. He has scored three hat-tricks for Portugal since then. The former Manchester United forward becomes the second player to score hat-trick in both La Liga and Seria A. The first player to do so is loaned Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez.
