Cristiano Ronaldo Denies Claims of him giving out 1 of his Hotels to fight Coronavirus

Cristiano Ronaldo has come out to deny claim of people saying he has offered one of his hotels to used as a hospital for the coronavirus victims. A report came in on Saturday after the five times Ballon d’Or winner tested negative for the second time of the virus that he is giving one of his hotels out.

The hostel is in Lisbon in Portugal, his country side. This report was carried by Spanish publication Marca the same people that took the news of him and his teenage helper. Spanish publication Marca claimed that Ronaldo was ready to have one of his two hotels turned into hospitals to help combat the pandemic.

Later on a staff who works in the hotel came out to say he or any member of the staffs working in the hotel have any knowledge of the recent development and if Cristiano Ronaldo wants to do such he will at least inform them beforehand. The worker who refused to disclose his name said: “we are a hotel. We are not going to be a hospital. It is a day like everyone else, we are and will remain a hotel. We are being phoned by the press. I wish you a nice day,”

The disease which started from Chine has spread to over 24 different countries which Italy recording the highest rate of the virus in Europe. Presently the disease is already in Portugal and they have recorded over 200 confirmed cases already of the coronavirus.

Cristiano Ronaldo was tested twice for coronavirus first in Italy after his teammate Daniele Rugani tested positive to the virus. The first test was conducted in Italy and when the result came out negative he travelled with his family to Madeira where he was tested again but the result still came out negative. After receiving the result, he traveled an Island which he bought recently and only him and his family are presently staying there.

Since the Italian League has been suspended he decided to stay on the Island with his family until everything comes back to normal. The 35-year-old was quick to send a message of support to fans amid the chaos but he did not approve of any of his hotels to be converted to a hospital for the coronavirus.

He took to his Instagram page he wrote: “The world is going through a very difficult moment which demands the utmost care and attention from all of us,” “I speak to you today not as a football player, but as a son, father, a human being concerned with the latest developments that is affecting the whole world.

“It is important we all follow the advice of WHO (World Health Organization) and the governing bodies on how we handle this current situation. Protecting human life must come above any other interests. “I would like to send my thoughts to everyone who has lost someone close to them, my solidarity to those who are fighting the virus, like my teammate Daniele Rugani, and my continued support to the amazing health professionals putting their own lives at risk to save others.”

The Juventus players, members of the staff and those who came into contact with Rugani are in voluntary isolation, of which is in accordance to what WHO said. Cristiano Ronaldo did not say anything about him giving out one of his hostels to converted to a hospital for coronavirus treatment.
