Famous Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid has wondered why no Nigerian pastor has visited isolation centres to heal people who have tested positive for Coronavirus.

The singer made this known in a tweet on his Twitter handle a few days after the federal government lifted the ban on religious activities in the country.

You will recall that before the ban on religious activities was lifted, some pastors in the country have advised the government to allow church services so people can seek Gods intervention.

Earlier, the Presiding Pastor of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo raised eyebrows over the government’s decision to allow markets open without lifting the ban on religious activities.

Oyedepo said there was something wrong for the government to allow markets to open for six hours and not allow churches to open for two hours.

He wondered why markets and hospitals were allowed to open while churches were not allowed describing such a decision as foolish.

However, the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on Covid-19 had reeled out guidelines on what was expected of religious leaders after the ban on religious activities was lifted to avoid further spread of Coronavirus.

Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC said the country has recorded 14,554 cases of Coronavirus, 4,494 discharged with 387 deaths.
