Covid-19 Kills Doctor in Cross River

Covid-19 strikes again as it kills Odii Stanley, a senior registrar in the department of anaesthesiology, University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH).
UCTH’s association of resident doctors announced his death.

According to the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, States should reintroduce measures for curbing the spread of the virus, following concerns over a possible third wave of infections.

So far, there are about 48 cases of infections confirmed across seven states and the federal capital territory (FCT). At the same time, there was a discharge of 12 people as of Wednesday, According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The latest figure brings the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 168,915, making it a total of 164,623 recoveries and a record of 2,125 deaths.
