COVID-19 Inspires Electronic Learning In Ogun

The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state, Kunle Somorin has announced plans by the State Government to commence Electronic Learning in Ogun state via the state-owned Television station, OGTV.

In a statment made available to inform parents, guardians and the general public of the commencement of the Digital learning, Somorin noted that the plan was in view of Government’s directive on the ban of high density gathering due to the outbreak of COVID-19.

According to the Special Adviser to the Governor on Primary, Secondary and Technical Education in the State, Mrs Ronke Soyombo, the digital classrooms targets children of primary and secondary schools across the state.

Soyombo added that the initiative tagged “Ogundigiclass” was conceived by the State Government in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology to ensure that learners undergo the learning process while on the unplanned imrpomtu academic recess.

The visual Electronic learning is slated between the hour of 9am to 10am for primary school students and 1pm to 2pm for secondary school students as students have the opportunity to send questions on any subject on the platform.
