Coronavirus: NMA Gives Kano Government Conditions After 33 Members Test Positive

The kano chapter of the Nigeria Medical Association, NMA, has told the state government it members will not be attending to Coronavirus positive patients anymore if they do not have Personal Protective Equipment, PPEs, provided by the government.

The state NMA Chairman, Dr Sanusi Bala made this statement while speaking with Journalists in kano. He stressed that 33 doctors have tested positive to the virus in the state, and one of them has lost his life after suffering complications.

Dr Bala informed of the association’s resolve that no doctor in the state would be allowed to risk his or her life by attending to a Coronavirus positive patient without adequate protections.

Kano state has taken over the second position of the second state with the highest number of confirmed Coronavirus cases from the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja with 365 cases.
