Share

Since the proclamation of the lockdown, a lot has gone down in the social media space of Nigeria. So, if you are new to this article, here’s a link to Part 1 (attach link).

#DontRushChallenge

Don’t rush is a song by Young T and Bugsey feat. Headie one. It was released in November 2019. This song gained popularity over this period of the lockdown in Nigeria where social media influencers, youtubers, celebrities all took part in the challenge using the song which gave rise to the #DontRushChallenge.

This challenge entails a before and after look using either a makeup brush or hair brush or any creative styling piece to transition to another version of oneself looking all well dressed and peng.

This challenge has taken over apps like; Tiktok, Triller, Twitter and Instagram to the point that some people are already tired of the song.

Though some people attributed this challenge to the female folks but yo! A lot of guys jumped on it too.

#BopDaddyChallenge

BopDaddyChallenge gained cognisance almost after #DontRushChallenge went haywire. Bop Daddy is a song by Falz feat. Ms. Banks that was released in March 2020.

The #BopDaddyChallenge started after Falz posted a video of him doing a before and after look of himself while transitioning into different looks just like in the #DontRushChallenge.

Former big brother naija 4 housemates, hypemen like; energy gad (Dotun), Shody and some social media comedians and influencers like Taaooma, SteveChuks  Twyse, etc. All jumped on this challenge.

Tiktok Couples Challenge

This challenge has to do with an already recorded voice asking couples questions about how well they know each other.

Ultimate love winners #Roskie already took part in this challenge (link to the post on the blog). Alongside Nigerian Musicians and couple, Simi and Adekunle Gold.

These and more happened over the first week of the lockdown.

A lot of people Nigeria are already tired of staying at home but we should all remember, our safety comes first.

Stay Home, Wash your hands, Sanitize often and Stay safe!
