Coronavirus is not stopping the cause of justice in Lagos State as a man has been sentenced to death by handing in the state’s virtual court session.
Justice Mojisola Dada sentenced one Olalekan Hameed; a driver accused of stealing from his boss and murdering his boss’s mother, Jolasun Okunsanya after stealing from her on December 1, 2018.
With the judge and the courses virtually joining the court proceedings, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges, countering the shreds of evidence and witnesses standing against him.
Witnesses against him stressed that the accused was the only one with the deceased at the time of her death and he was sid to be seen try escape by jumping the fence.
The judge who was not convinced with the words of the defendant sentenced him to by hanging.
