Nigeria Centre for Disease and Control, NCDC, has announced that 87 new cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed in the country, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 1182.
According to NCDC, Lagos has 33 out of the 87 new cases, Borno has 18, Osun 12, Katsina 9, Kano 4, Ekiti 4, 3 in Edo and Bauchi and 1 in Imo.
The update also explained that 222 discharges had been recorded after the victims tested negative for the virus twice, while 35 people have lost their lives to the rampaging virus.
There is, however a case of a victim who was said to have tested positive to the virus in Lagos State but is currently taking treatment in the Ondo State isolation centre.
