2,600 inmates have been given amnesty by the Federal Government as a way to decongest the correctional centres across the country.
This was made known by the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, during a press conference held at the headquarters of the Nigerian Correctional Service in Abuja.
The need for the decongestion of the nation’s correctional centres became necessary as the Coronavirus Pandemic continues to rock Nigeria among other nations of the world.
