Confusion in APC as Court Declares Chairman

There is more confusion in the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC as a High court in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has identified Chief Victor Giadom as the party’s acting chairman.

The APC Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomole had his suspension as APC chairman upheld by the court on Tuesday, and the APC in due course announced that the new acting chairman of the party would be the former governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi.

Abiola Ajimobi meanwhile is rumoured to be in a coma as a result of complications in his fight against coronavirus. The APC National Working Committee (NWC) released a statement to that effect on Tuesday after the court’s decision to uphold the ban on Oshiomole.

The Counsel of Chief Victor Giadom meanwhile has come to argue that statement, with the revelation that the court recognized the present acting National Secretary, Chief Victor Giadom as the Acting National Chairman of the ruling party.

The counsel has in due course written to all law enforcement agencies to assist in the implementation of the court order, advising any other person that intends to pose as the Party’s national chairman to expect facing charges for contempt of court.

The party has been in confusion in recent times, with the Edo state governor resigning from the party due to disagreements with Adams Oshiomole.
