Chiwetalu Agu, a Nollywood veteran actor has come out to tell his experience while in the custody of the Nigerian Army and Department of State Service, DSS, respectively.

Agu explained the entire display with the security officials that detained him for patronising the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, by wearing their t-shirt.

Recall that the comic actor was forced to corporate with the soldiers who picked him up at Upper Iweka Bridge while coordinating charity around Onitsha Anambra State.

However, the veteran actor was released some days back, following the swift mediation arrangements carried out by the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN.

Narrating the ordeal encountered the day of his arrest, Agu said the experience with the officers started not too good, but the situation changed afterwards as God took control.

He revealed the soldiers failed to read his rights or tell the offence before bundling him over to their premises for questioning.

Agu said the drama that took place was essential to know that the Igbo people are well represented.

The veteran revealed that nobody touched him during the drama at Upper Iweka, until their stop at the army barracks close to Zik Mausoleum, to 82 Division of the Nigerian Army and DSS office in Abuja.

“They treated me with respect. Every officer wanted to be involved in the case so that they could have the opportunity to interact with Chiwetalu Agu.” He said.
