Popular Nigerian stand-up comedian Bovi Ugboma has opened up on reason he got barred from entering the United States of America (USA).

The comic actor disclosed his experience with the USA Embassy during an Instastory question and answer segment with fans.

Bovi, while answering one of the questions asking him to come to Massachusetts to perform, he revealed that he was banned from the country after he clashed with a visa-issuing officer and got labelled.

“I’m banned in the USA,” the 42-year-old comedian replied. When another fan asked if he intended on relocating to another country, Bovi said, “I am a citizen of the world. Except for Yankee, where I’m banned.”

The comedian revealed the reason for the ban, “Ill luck. Met a charity-like visa-issuing officer. Egos clashed. I was labelled. I go dey carry shoulder,” he said.

The father of three discussed his USA ban for the first time after revealing in February 2022 that he almost was accused of stealing in the UK in a London Hotel

Bovi revealed he had to tell them to google his name to save himself from the embarrassing situation, and that was the first time he did that.
