A scene of suicide
The spokesperson of the Osun state police command, Yemisi Opalola has confirmed that a cocoa trader in the state, Festus Olawale committed suicide in his cocoa store in Gbongan.
It was gathered that the 43-year old man took his life by hanging himself in one of the rooms in his cocoa store located at Oke Ola area of the town on Friday, August 14.
While speaking with journalists, the police spokesperson said the reason for the suicide is yet unknown.
Everyevery.ng learnt that the deceased who is a father of four did not leave behind a suicide note or acted strangely before the incident.
According to Opalola, an investigation has commenced to knowing what prompted the man to take his life.
